The IEM-UEM group has its alumni ‪‬ in several top‬ positions ‬ in almost all countries throughout the world. There are several more alumni to follow in the Hall of Fame.

His areas of research are:- 1) Weak interactions, with specific emphasis on neutrino physics 2) Beyond the standard model, including left-right symmetric model and grand unification 3) Particle properties in material medium, commonly (and inappropriately) known as finite temperature field theory 4) Particle properties in background magnetic fields 5) Astrophysics and Cosmology related to Particle Physics 6) Linearized theory of gravity  

IEM-UEM group is organizing ‪coding competition‬ in association with ACM‬. This will be organized as an annual event and will be an international ‪‬platform for coders to perform and excel.

Atrima Ghosh, student of IEM-UEM group has cracked both IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore via her CAT score. She had also scored 328 out of 340 in GRE and has got admission offers from Georgia Tech and North Carolina State University. She is however opting for IIM Ahmedabad. CONGRATULATIONS ATRIMA!!!!!! You made us proud. ‪

Pritam Bhattacharya, an alumni member of IEM-UEM group, addressed the students at the Science Auditorium. Pritam ranked 35th All India Rank in GATE examination, and is the recipient of TCS Research Scholarship 2015. He is pursuing his Ph.D in IIT Kharagpur. His area of research is Approximation Algorithms in Computational Research. Very interestingly, he spoke on "Cheating Husbands - an Interplay between Knowledge, Action, and Communication." He used the interesting story involving Husbands of Mamajorca to get his ideas of Randomization Algorithms and Approximation Algorithms through. IEM-UEM group is always proud of its alumni.

Mr. Rishiraj of Merchant Navy addressed the students of IEM-UEM group and encouraged the students for a career growth in Merchant Navy. He presented a wonderful memento to the Institute group.

In the National Robotics Competition organized by IIEST Shibpur in association with Simplex Infrastructure Ltd and Larsen & Toubro (L&T), IEM-UEM group students again emerged winners.
