Induction Event For Freshers by The Speech Society! On 22nd July 2024, The Speech Society (TSS) at the University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur, hosted an engaging induction event for our enthusiastic freshers. The session, led by our passionate second and third-year students, provided a comprehensive introduction to the club's functions and its significant role in major UEM events. Team TSS elaborated on TSS's contributions to public speaking and event management. They highlighted the crucial role of public speaking skills in securing job opportunities, emphasizing how overcoming this fear can make a substantial difference. Second and third-year members shared their transformative experiences with TSS, illustrating how the club has positively impacted their lives. Freshers also participated in engaging activities, getting a taste of the exciting journey that awaits them as TSS members. UEM Jaipur department of Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering jointly organized a seminar on "Renewable Energy - Technologies & Developments" on Saturday, 20th July from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. Mr. Sudhakar Sundaray, Senior Vice President, TruBoard Partners was the resource person who well engaged the students with following content during his presentation : 1. Renewable Energy generation and potential 2. Comparison on Indian and Worldwide RE data 3. RE projections by 2030 4. Hybrid of different RE technologies 5. Career prospects for Core Engineering in Energy sector. Mr. Puneet Mathur, General Manager of Appcino Technologies, had an enriching and thought-provoking discussion on outcome-based education. During the interaction session with the faculty, he explained the various levels of Bloom's taxonomy and their significance in structuring educational objectives. He provided invaluable insights on the integration of practical applications and real-world scenarios into the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes and also highlighted the role of Bloom's taxonomy in designing course outcomes that progress from basic knowledge and comprehension to higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. This discussion reinforced our commitment to providing an education that not only imparts theoretical knowledge but also prepares students for real-world challenges and opportunities. Board of Studies Meeting (BoS)_EE A meeting of Board of studies of the Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully completed today. In the meeting, following external expert members, Dr. Rajive Tiwari, MNIT Jaipur, Dr. Sunanda Sinha, MNIT Jaipur, Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav, CTAE Udaipur and Mr S.R jangid (RRVPNL) were present. Dr. Govind Rai Goyal, Assoc. Prof. (EE) welcomed all the members present in meeting. Thereafter he deliberated on agenda items. Members from Academics and Industry have given their inputs for the syllabus and curriculum of B.Tech and M.Tech. All the suggestions were incorporated in MoM.
