Kshitij is the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, one of India’s premier technical institutions. Started in 2004, Kshitij was conceived with the aim to provide the technically inclined youth a national-level platform, where their talent and expertise would be recognized and rewarded.Having grown exponentially since its nascent years, Kshitij receives overwhelming participation from the student community all over the world. Students of IEM-UEM group stood 1st in Research Paper presentation competition at Kshitij – IIT Kharagpur Technical Festival.

Date of the Debate Event : 6th February, 2017 Time : 2:30 pm to 5 pm The University of Engineering & Management (UEM) is organizing a Mega Debate Show at the UEM, New Town, Kolkata campus on 6th February, 2017, 2:30 pm to 5 pm, where 10 Eminent speakers (all VIPs) will be speaking:- The topic of the debate is “Social Networking is a blessing for the Young Generation” For the Motion:- 1) Ms. Moubani Sorcar, Eminent Magician and Actor, (famous for her magic shows and acting in Bengali TV serials) 2) Ms. Urmimala Basu, Eminent Elocutionist (famous as the Jagannath Basu, Urmimala Basu recitation duo) 3) Ms. Ajitha Menon, Political Economy Adviser, British Deputy High Commission and Veteran Journalist 4) Mr. Jayanta Dey, Reputed Novelist (famous for his articles in Bartaman newspaper) 5) Ms. Riddhi Bandyopadhyay, Reputed Singer (famous for her music shows on TV) Against the motion:- 6) Pt. Plethora of companies visited this Job Mela and offered jobs to the freshers, of all types starting from Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, IT, Java developers to content writers, front-desk executives. It was a lifetime opportunity for freshers for headstarting their career. There was a footfall of 5000 in the job fair and 161 Job offers were given on-spot with several more shortlistings. An award giving function is being organized at IISc Bangalore, Satish Dhawan Auditorium on 25th February, 2017, where top corporates of the country will be given award from the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur | Kolkata. Campus Placement Drive of Sunbeam Auto Pvt Ltd, an ancillary company of Hero Motor Corp has been done at UEM Kolkata Campus for the mechanical engineering students of UEM Jaipur. 21 students have got placement offer in the company. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STUDENTS!!!!! In 2016, all students of UEM got 1 to 2 job offers on average. We are on the verge of repeating the same record even in 2017.
