Codesta Coding Club of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur in association with IIC, IQAC and ACM UEMJ Students' Chapter conducted a seminar on A Quantum Leap for Computing on 06.09.23 for all students of 1st year B.TECH CSE and AIML. The session was held by Mr Ashwin Saxena, CEO of CybraneX and PhD in Theoretical Physics. The main objective of the session was to make the attendees familiar with new and emerging technologies of Quantum. The seminar aimed to provide a comprehensive insight into the fascinating realm of quantum technologies, shedding light on its current state and future prospect. The presence of Prof. Dr Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur and Prof. Dr Mrinal Kanti Sarkar, HOD CSE Department made the event more motivating and successful. All students enjoyed the seminar very much and we hope that they will continue to explore more upon the topics every day. Google Developer Students Clubs in association with UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter & Institution's Innovation Council (IC) has organised " GDSC 2023 Welcome Event " on 1st September, 2023 at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR campus with speakers Prof. Dipta Mukherjee and GDSC Lead Subham Gourisaria, student, UEM JAIPUR. More than 150 students attended the event The primary focus of this event was to make the students aware about GDSC and the technologies provided by Google, benefits of being part of GDSC. Google Cloud Study Jam program was also discussed, where more than 150 students showed their interest by registering in the program. To make the event more interactive, a Quiz was also conducted and Swags were distributed to the winners. The leading National level Technical Bonanza of the country - Connectech - which sees the highest number of participations in technical contests all across India came to Srimadhopur, Rajasthan this year. It was organized by the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur and challenged all the schools and its students to participate for winning the Champions' School Trophy on 19th September, 2023. It saw the participation of 1000+ school students from leading schools of Rajasthan, and also from other states. Prof. Dr. Preeti Sharma, HOD, School of Management, University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR, was invited to Malaysia on behalf of University Technology MARA (UiTM), ESN Publications, and the ICMRD Organizing Committee, to serve as a Session Chair at the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research and Development (ICMRD) on 13th - 15th September 2023 in Malaysia. She also presented her Research on the topic Indian Mutual Fund Industry Struggling to Encourage the Retail Investors. School of Management, University of Engineering & Management, Jaipur in association of IIC organized a seminar on “Accelerators/Incubation - Opportunities for Students & Faculties - Early Stage Entrepreneurs: Conversation of Local into Global, A session on Building your Entrepreneurial Brand on 22nd August, 2023. The seminar was arranged as an introduction to the world of entrepreneurship. The fundamental aim of the event was to acquaint students with the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship. Students gained insights into the cognitive approach and mentality of an entrepreneur. B.Tech and M.tech students of CIVIL Engineering Department, University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur went for a site visit at SMS HOSPITAL Roof Top Truss Construction. We noted the following points: 1. It is a steel structure with Queen Truss design. 2. Roofs of two blocks (block A and block B) has been designed for the isolation ward. 3. Learning and understanding of the project plan. 4. The whole project has been planned using STAAD PRO and auto CAD software. 5. Poly foam is being used as the roof top cover with asbestos shed.
