AICTE Approved Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR on 13th-15th July, 2023. The guests from AICTE Team were Dr. Navin Kumar Sharma - Resource Person, Dr. Piyush Sharma - Co-Facilitator, Dr. Vijay Pal Singh - Observer. The session was attended by over 50 faculty members from UEM JAIPUR and other colleges. The following are the topics that were covered in the Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values: • The methods for inculcating universal human values in students. • The role of universal human values in a just and equitable society. • The challenges to universal human values in the 21st century. • The ways to overcome the challenges to universal human values. The Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values was held over a period of three days. The program was conducted by a team of experts from AICTE. The Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values was a valuable opportunity for faculty members to learn about the importance of universal human values and how to inculcate them in their students. The session was inaugurated by Prof. Santiago Gómez-Ruiz, Professor, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain); Prof. Ganesh Bagler, Professor, Infosys Centre for Artificial Intelligence Department of Computational Biology, IIIT-Delhi, New Delhi; Dr. Vedavati G. Puranik, Ex-Senior Scientist, Physical & Material Chemistry Division, CSIR, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune; Mr. Saptarshi Basu, Additional Director Tiger Agro Processing Industries Pvt Ltd; Dr. Kushal Sharma, MNIT, Jaipur; Prof. (Dr) Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice-Chancellor, UEM Jaipur, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, UEM Jaipur and Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dean, Academics, UEM Jaipur. The session was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) Biswajoy Chatterjee, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. In his welcome address, Dr. Chatterjee highlighted the importance of universal human values in today's world. He said that universal human values are the foundation of a just and equitable society. He also said that the Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values would provide faculty members with the knowledge and skills they need to inculcate universal human values in their students. The session was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar, University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur, and Prof. Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dean, Academics of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. Codesta Coding Club of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR, in association with IIC, and ACM Student Chapter UEMJ, has organized a session on "Angel Investment/VC Funding Opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs" for final year students. Session was taken by Prof. (Dr.) G. Uma Devi, UEM Jaipur. In this session, students got to learn about opportunities to protect innovations, avoid legal pitfalls and maximize profits, exposure to industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, financial support for growth and operations, and access to valuable networks and connections. This was successfully conducted, in the presence of Prof. Jyoti Khandelwal, and Prof. Hriday Banerjee.
