University of Engineering & Management (UEM) is proud to share the post of Ms. Sumedha Bhattacharyya, alumni member of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, who has posted about her travel with Prof. Egil Bakka (the legendary professor of Norwegian University of Science & Technology). Sumedha got jobs in Infosys and Cognizant. But afterwards she received the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship to study in 6 different countries of Europe, and she opted for that. She has described her post as:- "Traveling the Heritage ? With Prof. Egil Bakka himself , the panel of Intangible Cultural Heritage."

A bunch of students from University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata have launched a start-up - a media company named Ekapiens. They have already tied up with several colleges and Universities as Media partner. They are also the media partners of Techkriti - Technical Festival of IIT Kanpur. They have covered the Technocruise - Technical Festival held in association of University of Engineering & Management (UEM) and IIT Kanpur. Congratulations to the students and teachers of University of Engineering & Management (UEM) ........ for being the best zonals of Techkriti (Technical festival of IIT Kanpur) by conducting Technocruise (Technical festival held in association of University of Engineering & Management (UEM) and IIT Kanpur).

IEM was honored by the Outstanding Engineering Institute (East) award, UEM was honored by the Most Innovative Private University award, and Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti was honored by the "Edupreneur of the year" award on February 18, 2017 at the Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai by DNA newsgroup, BBC Knowledge. The students of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), have won several prizes, one after the other in several competitions all across the city. They have won Square Out(Rubik's Cube+Riddles+Sudoku), got 1st prize in Mathemagics, 2nd prize in BizTech (Business Quiz) and 2nd prize in Eureka(Business Plan), pitching the idea of Ekapiens (a media start-up company by the students of UEM) in the different colleges of Kolkata. The students of IEM-UEM group have once again won 2nd prize in aQuest 2017 at International HVAC expo ACREX-2017. The was a participation of 25 countries and 500 companies. There were 40,000 visitors. [gallery ids="3772,3773,3774,3775,3777,3778"]

Prof. Indranil Basu, IEM-UEM group has been nominated as the convener of the Computer Engineering Divisional Sub-Committee of the Institution of Engineers, (India). Institution of Engineers (India) is the most prestigious Engineering body of India for the last 150 years incorporated by Royal Charter of British India. CONGRATULATIONS !!! to Prof. Indranil Basu. Two students of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata - Riddhi Dutta and Rafi Akhtar have became champions in CodePlay - the Coding challenge at eXabyte - the Technical Festival of St. Xavier's Institute, Kolkata. CodePlay is a standard programming_contest with two participants in a team.
