Bridge Builder Bonanza by University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur Civil Engineering Department of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur organized an event on 14th September from 9:30 am onwards at Geology lab, CE dept. A creative event framed well to enhance the bridge making skills by the budding engineers. Bridge Building Bonanza event gathered more than 30 teams of 90+ participants in techfest 2024. TECHUTOPIA 2024 presented a work shop on REAL TIME AUTOMATIC STREET LIGHT CONTROLAR PHASE-I Organized by ISLE (Rajasthan Section) Student Chapter of University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur. The key features are 1. Automatic Operation: The street lights will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, ensuring optimal lighting during night time hours. 2. Energy Efficiency: The system uses sensors to detect real-time light levels and adjust the brightness accordingly, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. 3. Fault Detection: Any malfunctioning street lights will be reported in real-time, allowing for faster repairs. 4. Enhanced Safety: The system ensures consistent illumination, contributing to safer streets for both pedestrians and drivers. This work shop provide hands on training for Electronics and Electrical Engineering students. This training was given by Prof. Samrat Saha and Prof. Surajit Sur. Today we organized UEM Technical Bonanza, involving 50 schools from Bihar. We conducted 6 different competitions namely Nirmana (Science Model Competition), Pythagoras Star and Pythagoras Pro (Maths Quiz for class 9, class 10 and for class 11 and class 12 respectively), Tech Art (Technical Drawing competition), Curiosity (General Quiz), Bio-Brilliance (Biology Quiz). 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize were given away event-wise. Also, the Champions School and Runner-up School Awards were given away to the best performing schools. My colleagues present to organize the event were Prof. Dr. Rajiv Ganguly, Mr. Krishanu Banerjee, Mr. Suman Chakraborty, Mr. Subhadeep Ghosh, Mr. Pinaki Karmakar, Prof. Ravindra Maanju, Mr. Rajib Muhuri. Many of my students came together, to make the program a success. The Champion school of Bihar was St. Michael's High School and the Runner-up School was Patna Doon Public School.
