3rd Edition of Rajasthan Healthcare Conclave with "Focus on Creating Future Ready Healthcare Ecosystem and Promoting Medical Tourism" on 21 July 2023 at Hotel ITC Rajputana, Jaipur. About the Conclave- With disruption happening due to technology, across sectors people are discussing whether humans will be displaced by technology shortly! We should not forget that change is inevitable, so we should also be cautious about our fear of technology in the medical field. Healthcare will be drastically changed by technology in the future. Healthcare is one of mankind's most important fields that is constantly developing. Rajasthan offers one of the best places in India to provide quality and cheap medical services. Rajasthan is also considered an excellent tourist place with Forts and Palaces alongwith beautiful natural flora and fauna, bird sanctuary, National Park, Tiger Sanctuary and many more, hence, there are huge possibilities of Medical Tourism. Looking into the importance of the subject, Confederation of Indian Industry (CI), Rajasthan and Department of Medical & Health, Government of Rajasthan organised this 3rd Edition of Rajasthan Healthcare Conclave with "Focus on Creating Future Ready Healthcare Ecosystem and Promoting Medical Tourism". Inaugural session of the All India Inter University Gatka Men and Women Tournament organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), hosted by the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR with participants from all across the country - 20th July, 2023. The inaugural session of the All India Inter University Gatka Men and Women Tournament, held at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur on July 20, 2023. The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Biswajoy Chatterjee. In his inaugural address, Prof. Chatterjee highlighted the importance of Gatka as a martial art and its rich cultural heritage. He said that Gatka is a symbol of Indian pride and that it is important to preserve and promote this tradition. He also congratulated the organizers of the tournament for their efforts in bringing together the best Gatka players from all over India. The opening remarks were delivered by the Registrar of the University, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma. He welcomed the participants to the tournament and wished them all the best. He also expressed his gratitude to the organisers of the event. The guest speaker for the occasion was Principal Baljinder Singh Toor, General Secretary, Gatka Federation of India. He spoke about the history of Gatka and its importance in India’s Independence Movement. He also urged the participants to compete in the spirit of sportsmanship and to uphold the values of Gatka. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. B.S. Yadav, the Director of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Engineering and Management. He thanked the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the guest speaker, and the sponsors for their support. He also thanked the participants for their participation and wished them all the best in the tournament. The All India Inter University Gatka Men and Women Tournament is a prestigious event that showcases the best Gatka plavers from all over India. The tournament is a great opportunity for the participants to showcase their skills and to compete against the best in the country. Valedictory Session of AICTE Approved 3 Days FDP on Universal Human Values held at University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR. The Valedictory Session of the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values was held at the University of Engineering and Management Jaipur on 15th July 2023. The session was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Biswajoy Chatterjee. The session began by reading the report of the 3 Days FDP presented by Prof. (Dr) Mukesh Yadav, Local Program Coordinator. He said that the course had been very well-received by the faculty members which they have expressed time and again in the sharing sessions. He further requested faculty members to remain committed to their UH journey after observing positive changes and it should be reflected in their all walks of life. Few faculty members also shared their experiences, and learning during the FDP. Thereafter, the distinguished guests of NCCIP AICTE Team - Dr Navin Kumar Sharma (Resource Person), Dr Piyush Sharma ((Co-Facilitator), Dr VijayPal Singh (Observer) were felicitated by UEM Jaipur dignitaries. The Valedictory Address was delivered by Prof. (Dr) Biswajoy Chatterjee. He congratulated the faculty members on their participation in the FDP and said that he was confident that they would continue to promote universal human values in their teaching and research. He also said that each one of use should express brotherhood in our behavion. The Vote of Thanks was given by the Registrar, Prof. (Dr) Pradeep Kumar Sharma. He thanked the Vice-Chancellor, the faculty members, and the organizers of the FDP for their successful completion of the course. He also said that the university would continue to organize such FDP in the future as well. On 7th September 2025, the students of Atrang: The Cultural Club of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, had the remarkable opportunity to participate in the Jaipur chapter of Mood Indigo Multicity, hosted at the vibrant VGU campus. Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay’s annual cultural extravaganza, stands as Asia’s largest celebration of art, music, theatre, and dance, and the Jaipur edition gave our students the platform to showcase their creativity and competitive spirit. Our students participated across a wide spectrum of events—Mantra (group singing), MI Idol (solo singing), Aagaaz (street play), Desi Beats (dance), and MI: The Best (multi-skill showcase). Each performance reflected their talent, passion, and determination. Among these, a moment of immense pride came when UEM Jaipur secured third place in Mantra, earning a ticket to perform on the grand final stage at IIT Bombay. This achievement is not only a milestone but also an inspiration, as our students prepare to represent UEM Jaipur on one of the country’s most prestigious cultural platforms. More than a competition, the event was an experience of learning, growth, and creative exchange—every performance witnessed, every interaction made, and every applause received added to their journey of excellence.
