Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Engineering & Management, (UEM), JAIPUR, has organised a "6 days PreIndustrial Electrical Training" from 10/09/2023 to 15/09/2023 for B.Tech 2nd year and 3rd year students of EE and ECE department of IEM, KOLKATA, where, students learned about the hands-on Training on:- Automation (4.0), Renewable Energy Generation (PV plant) and DC protection, AC protection system, Induction motor starter panel DOL and Star Delta, 11kV/433 volt stepdown transformer, PLC programming for substation, motor feeder panel, HMI/SCADA programing. They also learned about Single-phase House wiring, single-phase Energy meter connection, 2-way switch for Staircase lighting, Tube light connection, Ceiling Fan connection, MCB connection, switchboard connection, etc. This program was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Aniruddha Mukherjee, Dean of UEM Jaipur, Professor Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Registrar of UEM Jaipur and Professor Dr. Ankit Kumar Sharma, HOD of Electrical Engineering Department of UEM Jaipur. UEM Jaipur ACM Student Chapter conducted a Distinguished Speaker Program on Data Science for Beginners on 15th September, 2023 in the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR campus. The session was taken by Professor Dr. Santosh Kumar Balan, receiver of Global Teacher Award 2018, Corporate Leadership Best Young Researcher Award award in 2019, RSRI Best Young Researcher-Computer Division award in 2019, Corona Warrior Award 2020 and many more. He shared valuable insights into the world of data science like different logical techniques, advantages, disadvantages, and future prospects. Dr. Santosh Kumar Balan was welcomed by Prof. Dr. G Uma Devi, CSE department. This event was attended by more than 150 students, who were present in the program and enjoyed the program. The leading National level Technical Bonanza of the country - Connectech - which sees the highest number of participations in technical contests all across India came back to Sikar. It was organized by the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur in Railway Community Hall, and challenged all the schools and its students to participate for winning the Champions' School Trophy on 15th September, 2023. It saw the participation of 1000+ school students from leading schools of Rajasthan, and also from other states. Empowering Engineers to Innovate and Build Tomorrow's World § on Engineers' Day. More than 300 students attended the event along with Dean, HODs, Event Coordinator Prof. Dipta Mukherjee and faculty members. The students were enlightened about the legendary profile of Sir M. Visvesvaraya and Dean sir emphasized on developing Professional Ethics. ATRANG Club - the Music and Cultural Club at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR at Mood Indigo, IT Bombay. Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay currently in its 53rd edition is Asia's largest college cultural festival which attracts a footfall of about 146,000+ students from 4000+ colleges across India. The multicity elimination round for Mood Indigo was conducted in Jaipur city. Around 45+ participants from UEM Music and Cultural Club: ATRANG performed at the event under the categories of Street Play, Slam Poetry (Hindi and English), Solo and Group dance, Solo and Group Singing, Music Band performances. All the universities and colleges from in and out the Jaipur participated in the elimination rounds. The winners of this round will get to perform at the main event of Mood Indigo at IIT Bombay and will also receive the following benefits: 1. The top performers will get free accommodation during the main event in IIT Bombay. 2. The top performers will get 150+ internship opportunities in organisations like Spring, CRY (Child Rights and You), HelpAge India, Agastya International Foundation, PETA India, Udaan welfare foundation etc. 3. Smart India Hackathon 2023 Internal Hackathon for selection of students to participate in the Smart India Hackathon was organized at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur on 26th September 2023. UMANG is an initiative run by the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), JAIPUR in the University premises, in association with Rotary Club and Singer, to provide free sewing training to rural women across 5 different villages adopted by the University. The intent is that these women can setup their own establishments and earn their livelihood and also arrange the same for others.
